This elevator will take you up the rocky cliff to the Grotto's beautiful gardens. When is The Grotto - National Sanctuary of Our Sorrowful Mother open? Southern Oregon The view from up top is amazing because the cliff garden sits at the top of a 110-foot cliff. No matter how many times we have visited here, I always feel this overwhelming sense of peace & tranquility. This park is also home to the Oregon Zoo and the World Forestry Discovery Center. One of my favorite places for solitude in the PNWI have an annual membership and come here all the time..With that said, I found this "trail" very interesting, especially the starting pointDefinitely a relaxing walk, and no hiking whatsoever..Stunning environment in the middle of a concrete junglePeaceful and incredibly beautiful especially if you get a chance to walk the trails above.
